Will adding floor insulation to my existing building affect the heights my doors need to be?
This solely depends on the type of floor construction that the building has. If you are living in an old property and hoping to add extra insulation to your floors, and you have a suspended timber floor, this will allow you to put the insulation between the floor joists, thus not requiring any height change at all. However, if you do not have a suspended timber floor it may cause a problem when concerning door heights as you may need to place the insulation on top of the concrete. You can minimise the change of floor height by opting for a different floor finish that is thinner, or use a thinner insulation material such as Kooltherm K3 Floorboard.
