What is a tapered roof system and why to use it?
A tapered roof system is where the slope or ‘pitch’ of the roof is formed by the insulation itself, to allow water to drain off. The tapered roof system has many different advantages, but one of its biggest selling points is that it can save you up to 26% on your roofing costs. This is because it is quicker to install than a roofing system that would require a layer of screed on top, which would need time to set. It is also extremely lightweight in comparison to the screed based options: this could mean that the building requires less structure to hold the roof, and is also easier for the builders to handle. Each roof is designed specifically for each customer by a member of our tapered roofing team.
